Salisbury Student of the Week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q. Who is in your family?
A. My mom, Jill; my dad, John; my brother, Jacob and my dog, Barklee.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is anatomy and physiology. I enjoy learning about the human body and understanding the processes and functions.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I have placed at the regional and state level in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science. For tennis, I have placed third in District Doubles, as well as placing annually in the top four at the Colonial League Tournament. I also received Colonial League All-Star and Honorable Mention throughout the years.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?
A. I play on the varsity tennis team. There are some restrictions as far as social distancing and wearing masks, but we are able to play and have fans.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. I hope to attend a 4-year university to study nursing and further advance my degree to eventually become a nurse anesthetist.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge is doubt. Sometimes I doubt myself too much and don’t reach my full potential.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered as someone who always had a smile on their face.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire my mom and dad. They work very hard and are successful at what they do.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. My piece of advice is to have fun because you never know what the next day could bring.
