A Distinguished Alumni Award nominee must have graduated at least 15 years ago and should reflect Northampton Area High School’s proud tradition of producing outstanding graduates and role models who have demonstrated leadership and excellence in their professional and personal lives. A nominee does not need to be a current resident of Northampton Area School District, but the nominee should reflect some of the following criteria:
• A person who has achieved outstanding success in a chosen profession or field of employment
• A person who has performed substantial community service or volunteer work
• A person who has made a positive impact on others
• A person who has received special recognition or awards for professional accomplishments or community service
Posthumous nominations will be accepted.
The selected 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient(s) will have a permanent recognition plaque placed on the Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor located in the main lobby of NAHS.
In addition to the recognition on the wall of honor, the 2021 recipients will be publicly recognized at the Distinguished Alumni Award celebration dinner, scheduled for April 23, 2021, at Woodstone Country Club and Lodge, 3777 Dogwood Road, Danielsville.
At the April 2021 celebration, the six 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients whose August 2020 public recognition celebration had to be postponed due to COVID-19 will also be recognized and honored with the 2021 Distinguished Alumni recipient(s).
Nomination forms, as well as additional details for nominating, are available at konkretefoundation.org or by calling 610-767-7824. All Distinguished Alumni Award nomination forms should be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than Nov. 6.
The Distinguished Alumni Award celebration is a major fundraiser sponsored by Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation, and all proceeds from the event are used to support the foundation’s mission to “promote, enhance and supplement educational and co-curricular programs” with funding for “extended learning opportunities and experiences” that benefit NASD students in grades K-12.
