Fall fun
Those suffering from quarantine fever will have the chance to get outdoors and do some pumpkin picking now that Seiple Farms, 5761 Nor-Bath Blvd., East Allen Township, is open weekends through Nov. 1.
Visitors can enjoy “visiting farm animals, a straw maze, pony rides, hayrides to the pumpkin patch, our famous corn maze, rides and food for everyone, gift shop, vendors and so much more,” according to the website.
Visitors will also have the chance to pick their own pumpkins, gourds, squash, neck pumpkins, Indian corn and popcorn, according to the website. Or, if shopping is more your style, you can purchase apples, apple cider, corn stalks, straw bales, mums and other seasonal items.
The farm is open to the public 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays. The farm will be open noon-6 p.m. select Fridays - Oct. 2, 9, 16 and 23. The Friday night flashlight fundraiser is 6-9 p.m., and participants can enjoy the sunflower/corn maze.
Dogs are welcome, so feel free to bring your furry, four-legged friends. All dogs must be leashed; good around crowds, loud noises and farm animals; and cleaned up after.
Seiple Farms is a family farm and asks visitors to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. Masks are required on the hayride, at checkout, in lines, ordering food, in the pumpkin barn and anywhere social distancing is not otherwise possible.
Parking, visiting with farm animals, the straw maze and hayrides to and from the 22-acre pumpkin patch are all free. Just pay for what you pick.
