A crash in East Allen Township has claimed the life of a New Jersey woman.

According to the police report, Patricia Balloveras, 52, was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, Oscar Balloveras, 51.

The couple, of Garfield, N.J., was traveling on Route 248 near the intersection of Snyders Church Road approximately 10:30 p.m. Police said the driver lost control on the wet roadway while navigating a curve. The motorcycle slid, then struck a guardrail.

Both the driver and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle, according to the report.

Route 248 was closed for a few hours while police conducted an investigation.

No other information was available at press time.
