Drive-up book sale best yet

PRESS PHOTO BY DANA GRUBB The Bethlehem Area Public Library's latest drive-up book sale raised $1,700, the most of the three to date according to book sale coordinator Laurel Stone. She said about 500 bags of books are packed for each sale. A final drive-up sale in 2020 will be held Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include holiday books, along with the usual genres offered. Above: The Bethlehem daughter and mother duo of Peggy McGovern and Mary Kuehne attended their first drive-up book sale Sept. 19. They agreed that the best part of these sales is that the random selection of books in each bag introduces readers to authors they may never read before.
