Jason M. Allender, 47, of New Tripoli, died on Sept. 19, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Jeffrey M. Allender Sr. and the late Maryann (Burkhart) Allender.

A diesel mechanic for various trucking companies over the past several years, he loved music, playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and many friends.

He was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his father and stepmother, Debra Allender, of Weatherly, he is survived by a half-brother, Jeffrey M. Allender Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; uncle, Harold E. Burkhart, of New Tripoli; aunt, Catherine (Steven) Heckman, of New Tripoli; cousins Jennifer (William) Stofflet and Olivia Stofflet, all of Kempton, Felicia Heckman of New Tripoli, Amanda (Scott) Neith and children of Port Clinton; and his beloved pit bull, Anja.

He was predeceased by his mother, Maryann (Burkhart) Allender, and maternal grandparents, Harold E. and Margaret (Wert) Burkhart Sr.

The family will receive friends 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 1 at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 King’s Highway, New Tripoli.

Due to the current health concerns, there will be a private memorial service.
