Cherie L. Ziegler, 55, of Slatington, died unexpectedly Sept. 18, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the longtime companion of Shawn K. Mulligan, with whom she shared 20 years.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Linda C. (Velcich) Ziegler.

She enjoyed time at home with her loving family and loved putting puzzles together, listening to music, especially Pearl Jam, and playing trivia games.

In addition to her loving companion, her survivors include sons, Andrew H. Ziegler and his companion, Amanda Schmall, of Allentown, Damon J.E. Ziegler Sr., and his companion, Arielle E. Williams, of Germansville; grandchildren Gryffin R. Ziegler, Haley J.E. Ziegler and Damon J.E. Ziegler Jr.; sister Tammy, wife of Harold (Butch) Anthony, of Lansford; and niece Meghan Messner.

Due to current health concerns, there will be a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
