Ryan Beegle, 18, son of Richard and Jean Beegle, of Allen Township, a member of Boy Scout Troop 242, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout. The troop is sponsored by Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.
For his Eagle Scout project, Beegle planned a flower garden with shrubbery, then supervised and helped fellow Scouts as they obtained all the material and worked for six months to create the garden in front of the church on Route 248.
Once the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided, an Eagle court of honor ceremony is planned.
In July, Boy Scouts Dominic and Austin Frey surprised Beegle by having his name and Scout rank put on the lighted marquee of Roxy Theatre, 2004 Main St., Northampton, shortly after he graduated from Northampton Area High School.
