The PPL Foundation has announced more than $500,000 in grants to 116 nonprofit organizations across central and eastern Pennsylvania to support education initiatives and strengthen community resources.
Local organizations receiving grants include Allentown Rescue Mission, Boys and Girls Club of Allentown, Casa Guadalupe Center, Communities in Schools of the Lehigh Valley, Community Bike Works, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Greater Valley Young Men’s Christian Association, Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers, Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Minsi Trails Council Boy Scouts of America, Pinebrook Family Answers, The Literacy Center and The Salvation Army, Allentown.
“PPL Foundation proudly supports the important work being done by the nonprofit sector to improve life in our communities,” said Ryan Hill, president of the PPL Foundation. “Whether it’s providing critical homework help for young students, a path out of homelessness for families in need or innovative economic recovery efforts that benefit all residents, this year’s grant recipients are focused on transforming their communities.”
The foundation’s next grant cycle will open January 2021.
