The Parkland Garden Club recently announced the 2020 scholarship winner.

Sue Weber, scholarship chairman, awarded the $2,000 scholarship to Carrie Spangler at a recent virtual meeting.

Spangler, the daughter of Kathy Hunsicker and Robert Spangler of Allentown, is a graduate of William Allen High School.

She was an outstanding student and a member of the National Honor Society, German Honor Society, 4-H, varsity tennis, Best Buddies and SADD.

She has exhibited and volunteered at The Great Allentown Fair since she was a child, as well as participating in many other community activities.

She will attend Pennsylvania State College University majoring in agricultural science.
