UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP St. John’s Lutheran cooking free community dinner Sept. 18

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be hosting a Harvest Home service 9 a.m. Sept. 13.

The theme will be “Farm to Pantry” which will feature a living display of fresh produce donations collected in a food wagon before and after the church service.

Bring produce to the outdoor church service anytime 8-11 a.m., rain or shine.

Produce will be taken to Lowhill Food Pantry for distribution to families Sept. 16 and 17.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Main St., Fogelsville, will host a free community dinner from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 18 with curbside pickup only.

Reservations are not required. All are welcome to attend.

Parkland Community Library, South Whitehall, will host virtual board games and puzzles 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 16. on tabletopia.com for kids in grades fifth through 12 grade.

The games are free. Just open an account on Zoom and tabletopia.

A virtual Teen Dungeon and Dragons Night Zoom meeting will take place 6 p.m. Sept. 21 through the website R20 for students in seventh through 12 grade.

The Short Story Society for adults is scheduled to meet to discuss the short story “A Telephone Call” by Dorothy Parker from 3-4 p.m. Sept. 10 on Zoom.

The library will host a Simple Gifts: Virtual Concert Experience featuring two women plus 12 instruments for adults 7-8 p.m. Sept. 14 via Zoom.

This award-winning duo will play everything from lively Irish jigs and down-home American reels to the lush sounds of Scandinavian twin fiddling, and original compositions written in a traditional style.

The Hoopla Virtual Book Club for adults will meet to discuss the novel “The Bear” by Andrew Krivak 7-8 p.m. Sept. 15 on Zoom.

Join certified yoga instructor Karen as she focuses on beneficial yoga for seniors 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17 on Facebook.

Teens are invited to join library staff and League of Women Voters’ Lehigh County Chapter Civic Education, high school voter outreach 5:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 22 on Zoom.

Adults join the League of Women Voters’ Lehigh County Chapter for a class titled “The Importance of an Informed Vote” 7-8 p.m. Sept. 22 on Zoom.

Learn more about the importance of being informed and seeking out accurate information regarding candidates and the voting process.

Learn why voting is important, how to understand elections and how to register to vote.

Kids in grades five through 12, join critically acclaimed author Tiffany D. Jackson for a teen virtual author event 5-6 p.m. Sept. 23 on Zoom.

The library will be hosting Bedtime Stories with Wonder Woman for kids ages 2-7 between 7-7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 on Zoom.

Professional Singing Princess Joanna Bertalan will read a bedtime story and chat with children.

Registration is needed to attend Bedtime Stories with Wonder Woman, teen board games and puzzles night, Teen Dungeons and Dragon Night, Short Story Society, senior yoga, book club, teen author, concert and voting classes.
