Salvation Army donates school supplies

By LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

The Salvation Army of Allentown handed out 1,000 bags of school supplies on Aug. 20 to students in the Allentown School District.

The supplies were donated to help students whose families’ economic status hindered their ability to purchase much needed items.

The school district set maximum income criteria in order to confirm those most in need received the supplies.
