PRESS PHOTO BY TIM SINGLES Fire crews from Lower Macungie, Trexlertown and Western Salisbury fire departments responded to a reported house fire around 8:45 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 5000 block of Woodmont Circle, Lower Macungie Township. Lehigh County 911 reported a fire in a second floor bedroom in a multi-unit building. Crews contained the fire to the bedroom as additional crews searched the other units to make sure everyone was safe and out of the building. A cascade unit from Macungie Fire Department was also dispatched to assist. EMS crews from Macungie ambulance evaluated residents of the building and setup a rehab station for fire crews. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. ABOVE: Aerial ladders are set up to allow firefighters to inspect the roof section of the building to make sure there is no fire extension to the roof.
