Roughies Report: Nurse visits limited due to COVID-19

Due to the higher level of contraction of COVID-19, Catasauqua High School is asking students only to visit the nurse’s office for medical emergencies or necessary predetermined medical treatments.

Students who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms will be examined by the nurse in a private exam room designated for potential COVID-19 patients.

***

As a reminder, outside visitors or guests are not allowed inside CHS, with the exception of those approved by the principal.

All materials that need to be dropped off should be labeled and left on the table in the vestibule area by the office between the glass doors. If a student is being picked up prior to dismissal time, the parent or guardian must wait in the vestibule area for the student to come out. No parents or guardians are allowed to enter the building. The nurse or another staff member will escort the student to the parent or guardian.

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute will be using the Skyward student information system as a way to effectively and securely communicate with all parents and guardians and students for the 2020-21 school year. Skyward’s family access center provides parents and guardians with the information they need regarding grades, daily assignments, attendance, class schedules, calendars, school messages, etc.

All parents, guardians and students are encouraged to access the Skyward system as there are required online forms that should be completed no later than the first full week of attendance at LCTI. These forms include handbook compliance, home language form, active military, lunch program information, safety pledge, standing orders authorization and student medical card. All forms must be completed for new and returning students.

You can access the LCTI website at lcti.org to log into your Skyward student information system account.
