John G. Brem, 95, of Coplay, died Aug. 31, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Rose (Kerbacher) Brem for 57 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Paul and Johanna (Bauer) Brem.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was an assistant administrator for the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

He was a longtime member and a past president of the Knights of St. George. He belonged to various area social clubs including Fullerton Fire Company, Coplay Saengerbund and West Coplay Maennerchor.

He is survived by a son, Paul and his wife Donna of Coplay; two grandchildren, Angela Brem and her partner Phillip Cole of Slatington and Zachary Brem and his wife Lauren of Northampton; and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Daniel Brem.

He was predeceased by eight siblings, Emma, Joan, Amelia, Rose, Rudolph, Elsie, Agnes and Helen.
