Drive-up book sale nets $1,427

PRESS PHOTO BY DANA GRUBB The Bethlehem Area Public Library's second drive-up book sale Aug. 15 nearly matched the first sale in earnings, bringing in an additional $1,427 in sales. Nearly $3,000 has been earned in the two COVID-19 influenced drive-up sales to date. A bag of books or DVDs costs a flat $5 and categories such as kids, and adults, DVDs, cookbooks, mysteries, history, war, spiritual, biographies and memoirs, and more are available. The next drive-up book sale is scheduled for Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Above: Hellertown resident Becky Kleptner chats with book sale coordinator Laurel Stone and book sale volunteer Lori Coleman prior to making her purchase Aug. 15.
