Kathleen Bowen, 64, of Northampton, died Aug. 30, 2020, at her home. She was the wife of Donald Bowen for 37 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Agnes T. (Chuss) Nehilla.

A graduate of Whitehall High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and then continued her studies by receiving a master’s degree in education from Kutztown University.

She was a dedicated teacher for 35 years with the Parkland School District.

She was an active member of St. John Fisher Church, North Catasauqua, formerly St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by an aunt, Catherine Bobeck; a sister Deborah M. and her husband David S. Kenney; in-laws, Les and his wife Judy, Doug and his wife Sally, Barry and his wife Sandy, Alan and his wife Pam, David Bowen and Elyse and her husband Bill Ogden; nieces; nephews; cousins; and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Sept. 4 at the church, 1229 Third St., North Catasauqua. Those in attendance must practice social distancing and wear a face mask.
