First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St., has started a GoFundMe account to aid in the repair of exterior work on the church.
“Our 151-year-old church building home needs some exterior repair,” a post on the church’s Facebook page said. “The brickote exterior is falling off piece by piece, and in order to save it, we need it to be repaired and repainted to preserve our outside walls.
“Total project work needed includes removal of dead trees/bushes, disconnection of exterior electrical lines, brickote repair and entire building exterior painting.
“Any donation will help make an impact,” the post continued.

In other First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua news, the Rev. Christine Kass continues to offer livestreamed worship services 10 a.m. Sundays via the church’s Facebook page, facebook.com/HokeyPres.
All services are also recorded and archived at hokeypres.org.
Church deacons continue to do good work for the community, donating funds to people in need and contributing to Whitehall Food Bank, among other works.
Members of the church are staying active, even as the church remains closed for in-person worship. First Presbyterian has accepted new members and even held an outdoor baptism in June.
