Walter “Walt” J. Holler, 92, of Walnutport, died Aug. 18, 2020, at home. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Loimbeck) Holler. He was the husband of Peg Holler for 70 years.
He was a 1945 AHS graduate and a 1949 graduate of Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University). He earned a B.S. in civil engineering.
He was commissioned as 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was in the Korean War and held the rank of captain in the Corps of Engineers.
His worked at Luria Engineering, Air Products, Bethlehem Steel Corporation and Fuller Company, from which he retired in 1990.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, for 17 years and then joined Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Elsie and her husband Charles Ziegenfus; two sons, Steven and his wife Rosemary and Kenneth and his companion Marilee Latshaw; two daughters, Linda and her husband Brian Paul and Patti and her husband Edwin Young; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Gill.
Services will be private.
