Doris M. (Rohland) Yob, 89, of Freemansburg, died Aug. 18, 2020. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Harry S. and Mary E. (Repash) Rohland. She was the wife of Gerald C. Yob for 69 years.
She was a 1948 graduate of Liberty HS.
She was a secretary for Laros Textile Company; Lehigh & New England Railroad, traffic department; and the Moravian Archives. She was the executive administrative assistant to the president of the Moravian Church-Northern Province for 29 years.
She was a member of College Hill Moravian Church, Bethlehem, where she was a sacristan, former elder, former Sunday School teacher and former kindergarten and primary departments superintendent.
She was a member of the Board of Almoners, Bethlehem Area Moravians and a 20-year member of the former Sapphire Circle of the Moravian King’s Daughters. She was a member of the class of 1948 reunion committee of Liberty High School; member and secretary of Freedom HS band parents and was a Cub Scout Pack 25 former den mother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David G. Yob of Bath; a daughter, Barbara A. Wagner and her husband Michael of York; two grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Ally and Christopher Wagner of York; a great-granddaughter, Lila Wagner; three siblings, Janet R. Hoffert of Bethlehem, Judith R. Carr of Easton and David S. Rohland of Mohnton; stepmother, Arlene (Hahn) Rohland of Bethlehem; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
