The Lower Macungie Board of Commissioners met via Zoom Aug. 20. The reason for the virtual meeting was due to flooding of the township building during the Tropical Storm Isaias. Renovations are continuing and the situation is expected to be resolved soon.

With this in mind, various township services have been relocated. The tax office is temporarily at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. If in need of township services, it is best to call first to check the location of the office.

E. Keller Kline III, resigned from the zoning hearing board after many years of service. The position must be filled within 90 days.

Resolution 2020-26 which is for a security release for Stone Hill Meadows Phase 2, was approved. Discussion arose over water issues which caused flooding issues within Macungie Borough. Further discussion will occur over this issue with Stone Hill Meadows and Macungie Borough.
