The following area residents were among more than 850 students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at Alvernia University, Reading.

Kempton: Kristina Bertsch and Meghan Steffey, nursing;

Kutztown: Katy Bailey, diagnostic medical sonography, Aaron Kulp, management, Rebecca Kutz, applied health, Carly O’Neil, health care administration and Ashley Wentzel, nursing; and

New Tripoli: Natalie Axt, marketing.

Despite the disruption of the semester by the COVID-19 pandemic and the university’s quick transition to an online learning format, more than 150 more students earned the distinction from the fall semester.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.
