A 46-year-old Whitehall Township man has died after an all-terrain vehicle accident Aug. 13.

According to Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Andrew Kehm, Matthew Ziegunfus’ death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of death has been ruled an accident, Kehm added.

The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. in a field near Ammon Way, Whitehall. Ziegenfus was the operator of the ATV that rolled over. He was pronounced dead approximately 8 p.m.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the death is being investigated by Whitehall Township Police Department.
