DUI

Piero A. Rios-Jimenez, 26, of Bethlehem, allegedly was found to be driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of East Susquehanna Street Aug. 2, according to Salisbury police. He was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.

Theft

A rear bumper and a license plate were removed from a vehicle parked in a parking lot at 1247 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Aug. 4.

Shots fired

Officers responded to the 500 block of East Rock Road to investigate a report of shots fired in the area Aug. 8. Nothing was found by officers upon arrival.

Scam

A resident of the 200 block of East Rock Road sent three separate payments for a total of $2,993 to a person in Dallas, Texas, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Aug. 7.

Fraud

Two unemployment benefits checks were mailed to a location in the 2800 block of Edgemont Drive, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Aug. 3.

Assists

Salisbury police officers assisted Eastern Salisbury Fire Department and Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company firefighters at various locations in the township during storm-related emergencies stemming from Tropical Storm Isaias Aug. 4.
