Moore Township: Township sets Aug. 21 free community movie night

Moore Township is hosting a free movie night 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Moore Township Recreation Center, off Route 946 and English Road.

The featured movie, “Toy Story 4,” will begin at dusk. The rain date is Aug. 22. Bring blankets and chairs.

No outside food is permitted as the snack stand will be open. Proceeds from the snack stand benefit Moore Township Community Days.

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, is planning to hold a basket raffle Aug. 21 and 22.

Entrance to the event will be by appointment only 1-4 p.m. Aug. 21. Entrance will be open for public walk-ins 4-8 p.m. Aug. 21 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 22.

Face coverings and social distancing are required.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be hosting a chicken and seafood bake 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 22.

The event is for call-ahead orders only.

Hoagies can be picked up 3-7 p.m. Sept. 3. Businesses can order for delivery Sept. 4.

Klecknersville Rangers is also taking orders for Labor Day trays of wings or Italian hoagies.

Pickup is scheduled for 3-8 p.m. Sept. 5. All orders must be preordered.

Wing trays can be ordered in six-piece quantities and are available in hot, barbecue, spicy hot barbecue or plain. Blue cheese or ranch dressing is included.

Hoagie trays can be ordered in 18- or 26-piece quantities.

Moore Township has limited quantities of sanitizer, masks and sanitizing wipes available for nonprofits and small businesses through the Northampton County COVID-19 PPE Reopening Readiness Program.

To receive supplies for your nonprofit or small business, visit the police department secretary during normal business hours, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
