Coplay: Borough Halloween parade canceled

Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association reported it is canceling its annual Halloween parade for this year.

The community Halloween parade goes back to the 1950s era when then-director/officer Robert A. Hauke organized the event.

The Whitehall High School Marching Zephyr Band and the East Hills Middle School band, from Bethlehem, continue to be an integral part of the parade, including Boy and Girl Scout groups and other borough organizations.

Association President Rick Hess said plans for a bigger and better 2021 Halloween parade are already beginning.
