Rescue crews from Lower Macungie Fire Department respond to the railroad overpass at Brookside Road and Indian Creek Road Aug. 4 for a car trapped in high water. Lower Macungie Fire Chief Dave Nosal reported a vehicle nose down in the fast moving water, with only the rear section visible.
Swift water rescue personnel from Lower Macungie Fire Department set up an operation to check a vehicle for any occupants at an emergency scene Aug. 4. Due to the dangerous water conditions Chief Nosal requested Lehigh County 911 to dispatch a boat to assist with the rescue. With an assist from a boat from the Whitehall Fire Department, crews were able to determine the vehicle was not occupied.
