Brenda Sarah Karas, 77, of Macungie, died Aug. 3, 2020. She was the wife of the late John C. Karas.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Mildred (Adams) Adler.

She was a 1962 graduate of St. Luke’s School of Nursing.

She retired from Lehigh Valley Hospital in 2006 with 32 years of service. In 2001, she was awarded the Helen Potts LPN Nurse award.

She was a member of Congregation Brith Sholom, Bethlehem.

She is survived by a son, John C. Jr. and his wife Lydia of Macungie; a brother, Allen J. Adler and his wife Shirley of Catasauqua; two nieces, Lori Rigg and her husband James and Tammy Adler; two stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew.

Contributions may be made in her memory to American Cancer Society and/or Breast Cancer Awareness Fund.
