LaMar R. Mindler, of Rockford, Michigan, and formerly of Endwell, New York, died June 13, 2020, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born in Leithsville and raised in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Milton and Mildred Mindler of Bethlehem. He was the husband of Bette Auyong for 42 years. He was previously married to Catherine Coladonato.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and spent much of his career on submarines.
He was a programmer for IBM for over 30 years. He worked on a horse farm at one time.
He was a Mason and a Shriner, with which he was a clown in the Shriners parades.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, LaMar Jr. of Morley, Mich.; a step-daughter, Cindy of New Zealand; a sister, Doris of Chandler, Texas; a brother, Barry of Bethlehem; and 15 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria; two brothers, Donald and Richard; and two sons, Lawrence and Matthew.
