Moore Township: Moore Twp. plans free movie night

Moore Township is hosting a free movie night event 6:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Moore Township Recreation Center, off Route 946 and English Road. The rain date is Aug. 8.

The featured movie will be “Jurassic Park” and will begin at dusk. Bring blankets and chairs.

No outside food is permitted. The snack stand will be open. Proceeds from the snack stand benefit Moore Township Community Days.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, is planning a hot dog and firehouse chili fest event 4-8 p.m. Aug. 14.

The menu will feature hot dogs with choice of toppings and choice of french fries or homemade pierogies and a can of soda or bottled water. Items may also be purchased a la carte.

The event will be curbside pickup only.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, preschool, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, is now accepting applications for the 2020-21 school year.

They have positions open in the 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, is now having outdoor services 11:30 a.m. every Sunday.

Bring a lawn chair or remain in your car while the service is conducted from the pavilion behind the church building.

Moore Township offices, 2491 Community Drive, are open to the public with normal hours. Visitors must check in with the police secretary and wear masks when meeting with township staff.

Parks are to be used at the public’s risk as playground equipment is not being sanitized. Groups should consist of 250 people or less.

The recreation center basketball and tennis courts will be unlocked, and the playgrounds will be open.

Moore Township has limited quantities of sanitizer, masks and sanitizing wipes available for nonprofits and small businesses in Moore Township through the Northampton County COVID-19 PPE Reopening Readiness Program.

Organizations need to provide their name, contact person, phone number and email address for accounting purposes. Quantities taken by each organization will also be tracked for accounting purposes.

To receive supplies for your nonprofit or small business, visit the police secretary during normal business hours - 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.
