Our dogs have an uncanny internal time clock. Dinner time is 5 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. they become restless and start staring at us, willing us to fill their food bowls. They know Matt will spot them 15 minutes before dinner so if I’m not around, they will both head upstairs, barrel into his office and turn their sad puppy eyes on him. Works every time!
The copy deadline for the Sept. 2 column will be Aug. 27.
