Joanne T. Berner, 83, of Allentown, died recently at home. She was the wife of the late George E. Berner.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Carmen Longo and Barbara (Lettiere) Longo.

She was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whitehall. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was a volunteer secretary for Christ the King Church.

She is survived by three sons, Christopher, Mathew with Audra and Timothy; a brother, Carmen Longo; and a granddaughter, Avery.

She was predeceased by a sister, Christine Waschitch.

There will be a calling period 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., July 31 at St. John the Baptist Church, 3024 Ruch St., Whitehall, 18052. Friends and family are encouraged to attend Mass wearing masks and practicing social distancing.

Contributions may be made to the church.
