LOWER MACUNGIE Township HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Bartholomew Center for the Preservation of Lower Macungie Township History reopened to the public July 12. The headquarters for the Lower Macungie Township Historical Society had been shuttered for several months by the coronavirus pandemic.

With the state now operating in the “green” phase, society members readied the facility by following COVID-19 safety guidelines. These include a temperature check for staff and visitors, hand sanitizer at the front desk and requirements for masks and social distancing.

The museum occupies the lower level of the Camp Olympic barn, 3120 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. It is open 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays (except holidays) or by appointment. Admission is free. For more information, visit Information: www.lmthistory.org.

Lower Macungie Township Historical Society Vice President Ann Bartholomew and President Sarajane Williams welcome visitors back to the society's museum at the former Camp Olympic. Williams plays a few tunes on the harp once owned by her late mentor, renowned harpist Dorothy Knauss.PRESS PHOTOS BY ED COURRIER Copyright - &Copy; Ed Courrier
