With the Lehigh Valley in the Green Phase, some arts, cultural and entertainment venues are reopening on a limited basis.
However, there are still additional cancellations and postponements.
Following is an overview, as of the deadline for the July 1 and 2 Lehigh Valley Press Focus section, of some of the coronavirus comebacks and setbacks.
Venues are following the coronavirus (COVID-19) protocol of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Pennsylvania Department of Health and municipal governments.
Bethlehem Fireworks, SteelsStacks concert
The Independence Day Celebration, presented by Embassy Bank, was to start at 5 p.m., July 4, SteelStacks, Bethlehem.
Big Bone Daddy, a rock and blues band, was to performs 6:30-9:15 p.m. and 9:45-10:45 p.m. July 4, Highmark Blue Shield Community Stage.
Dinner was available 5:30-7:30 p.m. at ArtsQuest Center.
The City of Bethlehem Fireworks Display was scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m.
Table reservations are required at Air Products Town Square and were available on a first-come basis starting 10 a.m. June 29 for ArtsQuest members and noon June 29 for the public: www.steelstacks.org/independenceday.
A six-foot by six-foot area on the Levitt Pavilion lawn could be reserved for up to four starting at 10 a.m. June 29 for ArtsQuest members and noon June 29 for the public: www.steelstacks.org/independenceday.
Food and beverages can be ordered at the Mack Truck Stop and a bar on the lawn.
Rain date for the Independence Day Celebration was 5 p.m. July 5.

SteelStacks concerts outdoors in July series
Lehigh Valley favorites Craig Thatcher and Billy Bauer take up residencies at ArtsQuest Center in July.
Starting July 1, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, is open 5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, with concerts 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays by Craig Thatcher, Nyke Van Wyk and Cliff Starkey and 7-9 p.m. Thursdays by Billy Bauer.
First priority seating is given to those who make dinner reservations. Reservations for July events can be made beginning June 28: www.steelstacks.org/
Additional performers will be announced on the SteelStacks website.
The Air Products Town Square and first floor of the ArtsQuest Center are the only areas open at SteelStacks.
ArtsQuest plans to reopen the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas and Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling in July. ArtsQuest officials said in a June 24 press release that plans for the two venues are to be announced in early July.
ArtsQuest Center reopened for indoor and outdoor dining, 5 p.m. June 26 ad 27. Pancho Bongo y Su Orquest performed June 26 and Hector Rosado performed June 27 at Air Products Town Square.
Allentown Fair: No 5 Seconds
5 Seconds of Summer, the popular Australian band that was to perform Sept. 6 at The Great Allentown Fair, has canceled its concert.
Two Grandstand concerts still scheduled at the Fair are Toby Keith, Sept. 3, and Carrie Underwood, Sept. 4.
Fair officials, in a June 26 press release, said concerning the Fair, Sept. 1-7:
“The Lehigh County Agricultural Society, the owner and operator of The Great Allentown Fair is currently working through a decision regarding the 2020 Fair amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A decision about the remaining 2020 Grandstand concerts and the Fair itself will be made in the next several weeks.”
For the 5 Seconds of Summer concert, ticket refunds take place at the point of purchase. For online purchases, a refund will be automatically processed and available soon at Ticketmaster.
An announcement about the reopening of the Allentown Fair Box Office will be announced soon, according to Fair officials.

Miller Symphony Hall cancellations, pay cuts
The Allentown Symphony Association has extended event cancellations at Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown, through August and has reduced compensation for salaried staff.
Postponements include: July 9, Straight No Chaser, to April 3, 2021; July 18, “Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles,” ASO Pops Series, to May 22, 2021; Aug. 15, “Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert” (film with the ASO), PPL Center, date to be determined in 2021.
Events canceled include: July 16, “Third Thursday,” The Lyric Room; July 17, “Jazz Upstairs,” Hot Club of Reading; Aug. 20, “Third Thursday,” The Lyric Room; Aug. 29, The Allentown Band, “Broadway Legends.”
An event that is tentative: Aug. 21, “Jazz Upstairs,” Jimmy Meyers
“In addition, as a response to this crisis and the ongoing need to preserve liquidity for the organization, all salaried administrative staff will see varying reductions in pay with both Music Director-Conductor Diane Wittry and myself taking a 10 percent reduction in salary effective June 22,” Allentown Symphony Association Executive Director Al Jacobsen said in a June 22 press release.

Baum Auction July 26-Aug. 1
The 35th annual Baum School of Art auction will take place virtually July 26-Aug. 1.
As of the deadline for this article, art auction details are still being worked out by Baum School of Art Executive Director Shannon Fugate.
The Baum School postponed the May 16 auction because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, according to the Baum website, “In-Person Summer Art Camp” and “The Fashion Camp” begin July 6 at the Baum School.

Lehigh Valley Zoo reopens
The Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, reopened July 1. Regular summer hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Food service counters are open. Water fountains are closed. America on Wheels reopens
America On Wheels Museum, 5 N. Front St., Allentown, reopened 10 a.m. July 2, with a new exhibit, “What’s In a Name? Creation, Innovation, Acceleration and Fame,” July 2 through March 2021. The exhibit features cars manufactured between 1911 and 1957 by the Hudson Motor Company and Essex Motor Company. Included is the 1953 Hudson Hornet that competed in a NASCAR race. National Museum of Industrial History reopens
The National Museum of Industrial History, SteelStacks, Bethlehem, reopened June 26. The NMIH is open on a limited schedule, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday - Sunday. The museum will operate at 50 percent capacity. Timed tickets are sold. Tickets: www.mih.org
