July 4th fireworks information
BETHLEHEM
The City of Bethlehem will hold the annual fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m. July 4 (weather permitting) , fired from Sand Island east, which will be closed all day. In case of inclement weather, the fireworks will be held at approximately 9:15 p.m. July 5. There will be no entertainment on Payrow Plaza this year.
Because of the COVID-19 situation, spectators are advised to socially distance and follow CDC guidelines when choosing a viewing place.
A reminder from the Fire Marshal:
As of October 2017, consumer grade fireworks are legal to purchase and possess across the State of Pennsylvania. However, the use of fireworks remains limited by state law. In order to use consumer fireworks, a person must be 18 years of age or older, but a person may not intentionally ignite or discharge consumer fireworks or novelty sparkling devices between the hours of 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.; on public or private property without the express permission of the owner; within, or from a motor vehicle or building; into or at a motor vehicle or building or at another person; while the person is under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance or another drug; or within 150 feet of an occupied structure (an “occupied structure” is defined by state law as a structure, vehicle or place adapted for overnight accommodation of persons or for conducting business whether or not a person is actually present).
Jenn’s House
A silent auction for Jenn’s House will be held noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 16 at Union Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville.
Drawings will start 4 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.
There is a per single card fee or participants can pre-order five cards for a discounted price.
All tickets will be available for pick up at the door on the day of the event.
