LOWER Macungie library

Lower Macungie Library remains closed to the public despite Lehigh County going to green. The book drop is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Items placed on hold by patrons continue to be scheduled for outside pick up noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Staff will call patrons to set appointments when the materials are ready.

The summer reading program is in full swing. Although the library is closed, virtual programs for children, teens and adults are scheduled throughout the summer. To sign up, visit the library website at www.lowermaclib.org. The program runs through Aug. 8.

The youth services staff have placed “Grab-and-Go Boxes” outside the library and at the Alburtis Community Pool. The boxes contain craft kits for kids and summer fun reading logs. The kits are available as supplies last. The boxes will be refilled each week with a different craft.

The book drop and pick up service will be closed July 3-5 in celebration of the 4th of July holiday.
