BECAHI: Scheidel named Merit Scholar Finalist

Principal Holly L. DeNofa of Bethlehem Catholic HS has announced that Mary Frances Scheidel, Class of 2020, has been named a National Merit Scholar Finalist Scholarship recipient. After careful review and consideration of approximately 1.6 million student applicants nationwide, Scheidel has been offered a college-sponsored Merit Scholarship® award for use at the institution that is financing it. The name of the Scholarship the student is being offered is the National Merit Fordham University Scholarship. Scheidel is one of 7,500 students who will receive scholarships through the National Merit® Scholarship Program. DeNofa stated, “We are so blessed and proud to call Mary Frances a Golden Hawk! This is an amazing accomplishment and we wish her all of the best in her new journey at Fordham University this fall.”
