State police investigate shootings in Northwestern Lehigh County
State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, and Bethlehem, are investigating a series of shootings that have occurred throughout the northern part of Lehigh County.
State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, are investigating two shooting incidents in Weisenberg and Lowhill townships.
According to State Police Trooper First Class Nathan T. Branosky, community service officer/public information officer with Troop M, Bethlehem, troopers responded to the 9700 block of Bartholomew Court, Weisenberg Township, 9:58 a.m. June 10 for a report of gunshots in the area.
The individual reported the gunshots were coming from a vehicle on Old Route 22.
Troopers were able to locate a brass casing on Old Route 22.
At 4:16 p.m. June 10, troopers were dispatched to 5800 block of Ruheton Hill Road, Lowhill Township, for the report of shots fired in the area. Troopers were able to locate shell casings at the scene.
In both of these incidents, there were no injuries or reported property damage.
According to Branosky, State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, are investigating additional shootings.
The shootings appear to be random and several homes have been struck throughout Weisenberg, Heidelberg and Lowhill townships.
The following incidents are also being investigated:
•April 3: 8200 block of Claussville Road, Weisenberg Township;
•April 4: 8000 block of Claussville Road, Weisenberg Township;
•April 8: 7000 block of Saegersville Road, Heidelberg Township;
•May 2: 4700 block of Doe Run Court, Lowhill Township;
•May 14: 7000 block of Saegersville Road, Heidelberg Township; and
•May 16, 2020: 8300 block of Lyon Valley Road, Weisenberg Township.
State Police are asking residents in the area to be vigilant and contact 911 immediately if they observe suspicious activity.
