Summer is finally here! Slowly, but surely, everything is opening up.

Here’s hoping the fresh air and sunshine reduces the virus and increases the sense of community that was almost lost due to the pandemic shutdown.

New Tripoli Fire Company, has canceled its annual Guns and Cash Bash fundraiser due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

However, according to the fire company’s Facebook page, the Gun Bash has been replaced with a new fundraiser ticket, “Fall Gun or Cash Giveaway.”

The numbers on the top of the ticket are only for record keeping and accountability.

The winning tickets will be drawn by hand from a barrel on a Facebook live video 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 14.

For each 10 tickets sold, the seller will be entered into a separate sellers drawing (check out those sellers prizes on the back of the ticket).

There will be lots of good prizes with the grand prize being a 2020 Polaris Razor 570 SXS valued at over $10,000.

The Kempton Community Center and its Kempton Fair Committee, have canceled the Kempton Fair for 2020, but are planning a Summerfest July 11 on the fairgrounds.
