LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Whitehall Township Public Library: Whitehall Township Public Library is offering curbside service

The library is offering curbside pickup 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays with additional hours 4-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

All patrons are welcome to place holds on items, and we will prepare the items for curbside pickup. You can call the library or go to the website to place holds on items. Patrons will be called to scheduled pickup times for their items.

We are limiting the holds to 15 items per person per day, and this includes books, DVD, books on CD and music CDs.

***

All library items that are currently checked out are due July 7. The book drops will be unlocked 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays.

Books will be in quarantine for three days before being checked back into the system.

We are following the state library mandate because of the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you to our patrons and staff for following the yellow phase guidelines.

As we prepare to move to the green phase, we will continue to follow the Office of Commonwealth Libraries and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

***

We will be doing the summer reading program online, using the Read Squared reading program.

The summer reading program will be for all ages, from children to adults, and will continue until Aug. 22.

Watch for more information about this on our website, in Whitehall-Coplay Press and on our Facebook page.

***

All in-person programs and meetings have been canceled up to Sept. 1.

***

LCLC libraries are going fine-free for the summer.

There are no fines for items that were due March 12-Sept. 8.

If items are returned after the due date, a fine will appear on your account but will be removed once items have been checked in.
