DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR would appreciate people helping by picking up trash on the trail as part of the D&L Trail Tenders program. In general people can help clean the D&L Trail or trailheads by picking up trash, removing sticks or brush and helping keep the signs clean. LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK is calling all artists, young and old, to help cheer up hospitalized patients who are not permitted visitors by creating (nondenominational) inspirational get-well cards and letters. SIXTH STREET SHELTER Allentown is seeking volunteers to assist with weeding and other beautifying projects outside of our shelter. They have a playground and several gardens in need of attention. This opportunity allows for social distancing. Please bring a mask with you for entering the building to sign a waiver and receive a temperature check before working. Up to four volunteers from up to three different households can be accepted 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
