PUBLIC NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners will consider for possible adoption. an ordinance entitled 'AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES, SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL, BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION 18-406 BUILDING SEWER INSPECTIONS, REQUIRING AN INSPECTION OF THE BUILDING SEWER OF EACH IMPROVED PROPERTY CONNECTED TO THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM PRIOR TO ANY SALE, THE TRANSFER AND/OR CONVEYANCE OF OWNERSHIP OF THE PROPERTY; REQUIRING AN INSPECTION OF THE BUILDING SEWER OF EACH IMPROVED PROPERTY CONNECTED TO THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM PRIOR TO A CHANGE IN USE OF THE IMPROVED PROPERTY; THE RIGHT TO ACCESS AT REASONABLE TIMES ANY PART OF AN IMPROVED PROPERTY SERVED BY THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM AS DEEMED NECESSARY FOR PURPOSES OF INSPECTION, OBSERVATION, MEASUREMENT, SAMPLING AND TESTING AND/OR OTHER FUNCTIONS RELATING TO SERVICES RENDERED BY THE TOWNSHIP THROUGH ITS SEWERAGE SYSTEM; ADDING DEFINITIONS TO SECTION 18-101; AND, REQUIRING THE CORRECTION OF DEFICIENCIES AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF.' The proposed ordinance establishes regulations for inspections of the building sewer prior to the transfer and/or conveyance of an Improved Property, prior to a change in use of the Improved Property and/or at the time of rehabilitation and/or replacement work on the Sewerage System to which the Improved Property is connected. The Board of Commissioners will consider the foregoing Ordinance at a public meeting on June 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Municipal Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, Pa.
