PUBLIC NOTICE DOCUMENT 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be accepted by the Borough of Northampton online via PennBid - www.PennBid.net until 10:00 A.M. local time, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at which time the bids shall be opened online via PennBid for the: Main Pump Station Renovation Contract Numbers: '20-1G': - General / Mechanical '20-1E' - Electrical The work is generally described as the renovation of an existing sewage pump station including associated piping, valves, pumps, electrical equipment, and forcemain. A pre-bid conference is scheduled at the Wastewater Treatment Plant office, 2 Lerchenmiller Drive, Northampton, PA 18067 at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory. However, the pump station is located within the treatment plant which is a locked facility. Attendance at the pre-bid conference will give interested bidders the opportunity to fully access the project area. All Bid Documents and solicitation details are available at PennBid- www.PennBid.net. Click on the 'Solicitations' then 'View' tabs. Please note the low bidder is responsible for a fee to PennBid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Lien. The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442). By order of the Northampton Borough June 3, 10
