Dr. John M. McFadden, 73, formerly of Bethlehem, died June 1, 2020, at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Conn. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann J. (Ohl) McFadden.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John R. and Emma R. (Gotzi) McFadden.

He was a U.S. Navy corpsman attached to the Marines during the Vietnam War.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and earned his medical doctorate at Pennsylvania College of Podiatry.

He was a podiatrist for 35 years.

He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, Northampton, and Catholic War Veterans Post 454, Northampton, where he was the current first vice commander and a past state department second vice commander. He was a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen and her husband Michael Talmadge and Dr. Patricia Ann McFadden and her husband Dave Hill; two sons, John Lloyd and his wife Kristen and Daniel Michael and his wife Megan; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
