University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Noble Keyser, of Walnutport, was among 3,417 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during a virtual graduation celebration May 9. Keyser earned a Master of Science from the office of graduate studies.

The May graduates are from 54 countries, 45 states and Puerto Rico and 250 Nebraska communities.

Albright College

Albright College congratulates those who have earned degrees during the spring 2020 semester. Albright’s accelerated bachelor’s degree and certificate students include working professionals, adult learners, active-duty service members and veterans.

Though an in-person commencement ceremony is planned for a later date, the college celebrated the Class of 2020 with a live degree conferral May 17, followed by a virtual cap toss across social media, via #Albright2020.

Coplay: Lauren Elizabeth Blazofsky earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude. A graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Blazofsky studied fashion merchandising.

Northampton: Garrett Liam Oplinger earned a Bachelor of Science degree. A graduate of Northampton Area High School, Oplinger studied business administration, with a focus on international business.

Whitehall: Rachel Catherine Mackenzie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems from Albright College’s school of professional studies.

Slippery Rock University

Slippery Rock University has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester. Max Nuscher, of Coplay, is just one of the students who have earned this honor. The dean’s list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Slippery Rock University, founded in 1889, is a member of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. SRU is a four-year, public, coeducational, comprehensive university offering a broad array of undergraduate and select graduate programs to more than 8,800 students. The university has earned full institutional accreditation through the Middle State Commission on Higher Learning and discipline specific accreditations.

Mansfield University

Savannah Packard, of Northampton, and Alexis Anthony, of Walnutport, were named to the dean’s list at Mansfield University.

A total of 381 students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must attend the university full time and earn at least a 3.5 GPA.

Suny Potsdam

Kimberly Casey, of Whitehall, graduated May 23 with distinction from SUNY Potsdam with a Master of Music degree in music performance. Casey was among 900 other students to graduate with a special virtual commencement celebration. When safely able to do so, the college will hold an in-person event honoring all of this year’s bachelor’s and master’s graduates at a later date.

Bucknell University

Levi Wolf, of Catasauqua, graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy.

Bucknell presented degrees to over 800 graduates at commencement May 17.

Located in Lewisburg, Bucknell University is a highly selective private liberal arts university that offers majors in the arts, engineering, humanities, management, and social and natural sciences, along with broad opportunities outside of class, to its 3,600 undergraduates. Graduate programs are available in select disciplines. Clarion University

Whitehall residents Alyson Peters and Stephanie Setar are among the students who earned at least a 3.5 GPA to be named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
