Mr. and Mrs. Michael Male, of Moore Township, announce the engagement of their daughter Valerie to Justin Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Smith, of Lower Nazareth Township.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Northampton Area High School and Moravian College. She works for Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Her fiance is a graduate of Nazareth Area High School. He works for Barker & Barker Paving, Bethlehem.

The couple is planning an Oct. 11 wedding.
