STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q. Who are the members of your family: parents, siblings and pets?
A. My mom and dad, Steph and Joe, my older sister, Julia and my two cats, Leo and Tony.
Q. What have you most enjoyed about being a senior at Emmaus High School?
A. I think everyone makes different friends/friend groups each year and this year I had the best friends in the world and I’m so thankful that we were able to spend our last year of high school together.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is psychology because it’s so fascinating to learn how everyone’s mind works and why people act the way they do.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
Q. What are your favorite extracurricular activities?
A. I loved being in the PALS club and got to spend time with the nicest kids who always made me smile. I also was in the Pediatric Cancer Club and I think the things that we accomplished were really meaningful. Soccer has been my favorite thing to play since I was 4 years old and I love playing for my club team, Western Lehigh United.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. After high school I plan on going to Penn State Berks to study forensic science and then finish up my studies at Penn State University Park.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My junior year brought on some new struggles with anxiety that I never had before and I learned important coping strategies.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I want to be remembered as someone who made people laugh and someone who loved to live in the moment and have fun.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire my sister because she is very hardworking and determined to reach her goals. She always sees the good in people and knows how to be a great friend.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Time goes really fast so enjoy the little moments and don’t take them for granted.
