Good news from the library: We will begin to provide curbside pickup of items June 15.
The library itself remains closed until further notice.
Patrons will only be permitted 15 items per day and are limited to books, DVDs, MP3s, music CDs and books on CD. We will print off a due date receipt and place it in the bag with the items.
Patrons will also be able to place a hold on items through the online catalog or by calling the library staff. The staff will retrieve and check out items for you, then call you and arrange a pickup time and meet you in the library parking lot.

All library items currently checked out are due July 1.
The book drop will be unlocked 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday beginning June 8. All items in drop box will be quarantined for three days and then checked back into the system.

We will be doing the summer reading program online, and we will be using the Read Squared program. Watch for more information about this on our website, in The Press and on the library’s Facebook page.

All in-person programs and meetings have been canceled up to Sept. 1.

You may also download and read or listen to books on Overdrive and Libby.
Go to whitehallpl.org then click on Research & Learn on the middle gold banner; click on Overdrive; sign in to Carbon Lehigh Downloadable; pick Whitehall TPL; type in the bar code and PIN from your purple card; and search for whatever authors and titles you would like to read.
