Spread a smile! According to Chairwoman Nancy Holbrook of Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, there is a huge need for nonperishable items at the food pantry.

The food pantry serves residents of the Northwestern Lehigh School District and is managed and staffed completely by a volunteer workforce.

Items most needed are: any kind of breakfast cereal and bars, oatmeal, pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, juices, soups, Ramen noodles, canned pastas, fruits, vegetables and meats, tuna, spaghetti sauce and pasta.

Also needed are personal care products, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap and shampoo, etc.

All donations are greatly appreciated and may be dropped off at the pantry 9-11 a.m. on the first Tuesday of every month and the last Saturday of every month. The next drop off date is May 30.

Leave the items outside the pantry’s front door without entering.

Happy hands! Heidelberg Church members Linda Fritzinger and Susan Bickert are voluntarily making washable face masks available to members of Heidelberg Union Church for a donation to the church.

Kind reminder! Membership dues are now payable for the Goodwill Fire Company, Germansville.

As with your dues, additional donations of any amount toward the general fund or truck fund may be sent to: Goodwill Fire Company, P.O. Box 69, Germansville, PA 18053.

Any resident who has not received a membership form by mail, should call the fire company at 610-767-7757 and leave his or her name and phone number. Someone will get back to you.

Residents who are interested in purchasing reflective house or mailbox numbers from the fire company should call Jay Scheffler at 484-239-5020.

These numbers are big, bright and easy to read and help emergency crews find your home quickly.

A bracket to hang the numbers is also available for purchase.
