Grade: 12
Family members: I live with my mom, dad and younger brother.
Favorite subject: My favorite subject is sports exercise health science. I have a passion for health and the class is very interesting. It is a subject where I retain information easily. My mind is blown every single class.

Next steps: After high school I plan to go to Moravian College to pursue my career as a doctor of physical therapy.
Career goals: My goals for being a doctor of physical therapy are to successfully help make people’s lives easier and make a difference in people’s lives.
Heroes: As corny as it may sound, my mom is my hero. She inspires me in so many ways. She has inspired me to be proud of who I am, to be enthusiastic about life, and much more. She has taught me many lessons too. She has taught me that one of the most important things in the world is to be happy, to never give up, and how to be strong, just to name a few. She’s my number one supporter, always believes in me, and she loves me unconditionally. I would be completely lost without her.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing soccer for my community’s team, playing volleyball with my friends, learning piano, hiking, going on adventures and traveling.
Volunteer/community work: I volunteer at Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s. I have been volunteering there since the fall of 2018.
Likes: I like fall because of the weather and activities. I like to watch Disney movies. I like musicals, the color white and giant pandas.
Dislikes: I do not like rude people, being stressed, and olives.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): My greatest accomplishment occurred in my sophomore year. In sophomore year we are required to do a Personal Project, in which the student thinks of a topic to explore and is designed to assess self-management, research, communication, critical thinking and collaboration. For my project I decided to teach myself the alto saxophone. I had been in band since fourth grade, so I did not have to learn things like tempos, notes, rhythm, etc. I completed my project over the course of my sophomore year. During this project I participated in band and jazz band, where I played the alto saxophone. At the end of my project, not only was I able to teach myself how to play the alto saxophone, I was able to effectively teach myself six years of technique and skill in less than a year. To this day I still play alto saxophone in my school’s jazz band.
Advice for peers: My advice is to know that it is okay to make mistakes. It is okay to be wrong sometimes; that is how we learn. Also, try to be optimistic. It is amazing how even just a small change in attitude can affect your life in a positive way.
